De Vrije Student is known for its pragmatic approach, its commitment to improving the study environment and student facilities, and its core values: quality of education and academic freedom. We view education as the university's core mission, a mission that must never be undermined.

With a fresh perspective and focus on concrete results, DVS has had a lasting impact on student life in Amsterdam, Groningen, and Utrecht. We demonstrate that students are not bystanders in university policy; they are the voice of the future!

FLEXIBLE EDUCATION

  • Education at 1

  • Abolish compulsory attendance where possible

  • Targeted inflow policy: focus on sectors with labor market shortages

  • Focus on academic diplomacy: keep talking even in difficult situations

  • Restore suspended collaborations through dialogue where possible

  • Avoid collaborations that undermine academic freedom or ethics

  • Ensure transparency and independence in external cooperation
